Managing the corporate communications, customer service and related functions, you will provide leadership and challenge to the organisation on its approach to the full mix of issues: from employee communications and stakeholder influencing to customer engagement and behaviour change.

As our most senior communications and engagement professional, you will be at the heart of the organisation and there is certainly lots going on, with a new chief executive recently appointed, a significant commitment to regeneration-driven economic growth, and an ambitious transformation programme.

You should have a substantial track record at a senior level of giving strategic advice on resident communications, stakeholder engagement and customer services to corporate leaderships.

Above all, we are looking for a leader who has the credibility, experience and authority to challenge the council’s thinking and help drive the change our residents and customers quite rightly demand.

The contractual work location for this role is listed above however you may be required to work from a range of work locations or sites within the Borough and may also be required to work from home, depending on the needs of the service.
