Housing Policy Officer - Council Housing

To support the delivery of strategic planning, commissioning and enabling for all aspects of the Councils housing and to lead on tenant engagement to include reviewing current tenant satisfaction performance and improvement in the same.  This will include the Housing Strategy, Growth Plans, Sub-Regional Plans, Private Sector Housing Policy and Strategy, Tenancy Strategy and Allocations Policy.

An opportunity has arisen for a Policy Officer to be employed on a permenent contract on a homeworker basis with a requirement to attend meetings across the borough as required.  This is an exciting time to join our team at a time as the Council continues to respond positively to the new regulatory framework and the need to provide good quality services to our tenants and leaseholders. 

Working closely with the strategic lead for Council Housing you will lead on tenant engagement and work closely with the new Council Housing Management Board as well as help to ensure the Council is prepared for the social housing regulation inspection framework.
