Principal Development Engineer

Dealing with highways development management, including road adoptions and third-party highway works; input into the development of policies for and carrying out the development management functions of the Council. Liaising with developers and dealing with strategic planning issues in order to control the impact of development on the Council’s highway network and ensuring the safety of all road users.

We are looking for a Principal Development Engineer in the Highways Development Control Team. The ideal candidate will have a proven experience in a highways/traffic engineering/transport planning environment, dealing with major and complex proposals involving the implementation and adoption of third party highway works.
